Enfield Memorial Park

Have been going too this cemetery for 40 years and once was a beautiful place to visit our loved ones which is now a disgraceful over weeded uncared for part of the cemetery The Rose garden near the city end gates..I've rang administrates on several occasions and I was told to email the Gardeners which I shouldn't have to do we don't place flowers any more because if we visit months after the last time we visited the dead flowers are still

Visited today and was very saddened by the state of the park. We saw a lot of dead grass on the Catholic section, as well as grave head stones that were completely covered by dirt and mud. There were stagnant pools of smelly water nearby in front of the ashes plaque section, as well as a pipe leak which was spraying water out (we thought it was sprinkler at first, it was that bad). Many ornaments and plastic flowers were scattered out of place, rubbish was shoved near a bench, wooden benches old and in poor condition, flowers/gardens needing attention. The overall feel was one of neglect. The workers were driving too fast along the roads, and some nearby were making loud, inappropriate whooping noises. It made us feel as if our deceased loved ones are not being respected and looked after properly. The stickers on headstones stating that families need to renew their financial situation are also in poor taste. I wish I didn't feel the need to write this, and I am very upset that this is the case. Please attend to this park and restore it to what it should be for all of us who love and miss dearly our loved ones. We don't need fancy cafes or catering for weddings or whatever else that seems more about money and image. There are too many reviews here that show others feel the same. Please respond to these concerns and give the community a respectful resting place that soothes grief, rather than aggravating.

Visited the cemetery today and was absolutely disgusted with the state of the rose garden. My grandparents plaque appears to be sinking into the ground as is the one on the next plot. As I am just about to have a plaque put in for my parents it really concerns me as to what will happen with that. There was also weeds everywhere that nearly covered one grave. This use to be a magnificent cemetery that was beautifully maintained and I am now very upset that I chose to place my parents there.

I visited my parents graves early in the morning on Father's day. The state of the cemetery is nothing short of discusting. The rose garden is over grown with weeds and grass. The rubbish bin were close to overflowing, with a big day ahead you can only imagine the amount of rubbish that will be left unable to be put in the bin. And just to fit in with the surroundings the toilets didn't fair any better. What once used to be a beautiful place to visit and enjoy fond memories is now a run down depressing place.

I often visit the Enfield cemetery, my mother, father and brother are there. Over the years I have seen the steady decline of this once beautiful memorial park. The grounds are a disgrace, many area's are a washout with mud covering the head stones. Weeds and grass have been allowed to encroach on sites. As for the plastic/artificial tributes, if people can't show the respect to their loved ones and place real flowers and foliage then don't place them at all. The staff should remove the plastic flowers as soon as they are placed.When I see Harrison's and Centennial Park and the pristine way these places are kept I just feel so saddened that my love ones are at Enfield. Raise your game.

Our dearly loved sister has been laid to rest here at Enfield for just over 6 months. Our family visit every week and bring fresh flowers and trinkets to express the love we have for her. With out fail every week some lowlife/lowlifes steal everything!! It's heartbreaking especially to our elderly parents. We have reported this to management on numerous occasions but no action has been taken. It's time to act, installation of security cameras, security patrols to stamp this out is needed. I'm sure we are not the only ones being affected, please Adelaide cemeteries take action

I note reviews about dogs. Today I was there to pay respects, to lay flowers at my family’s grave for Easter. In the short time I was there I saw dogs urinating on bushes, a dog encouraged by his owner to race backwards and forwards across lawned GRAVES, another one repeatedly sniffing the ground around 2 established lawn graves. Clearly either there was other dog’s urine or faeces which had been removed, there are doggy bags available. For them. There are many more dogs being taken for a walk than before. Either you or your relatives have paid thousands to have a dignified resting place. For them. How long before you step in dog faeces? How long before someone is attacked by a loose dog? Surely Enfield Council can provide a dog park, if not there is one in Kilburn another one in Northfield, take your dogs there. I wrote to the cemetery outlining my point of view and concerns, if you have concerns don’t just read my review, write to them. Edit: I wrote a letter of complaint to Enfield Memorial Park, apart from agreeing with me and sympathising they referred me to Enfield council, I’m awaiting contact with them. If you are thinking of Enfield Memorial Park look elsewhere or you will be in the same position as us.
