Fry Bros Funerals - East Maitland

Fry Bros Funerals is a sixth-generation funeral home and a family owned and operated business. It has been providing funeral care for 130 years and has been located in Maitland since 1889. Tony Fry is the fifth generation of the original Fry family involved in the family business.

Fry Bros services Maitland, Newcastle, Port Stephens, the Hunter Valley and all surrounding areas. It has three chapels in Maitland, East Maitland and Raymond Terrace. Fry Bros provides funeral services including tributes, coffins, and private cremation or burial.

Maitland residents who have arranged cremations, funeral celebrant services and traditional funerals through Fry Bros Funerals speak consistently of compassion and steadiness at every stage. A handful of customers describe the team as thoughtful and caring from the first contact, with the details of a service handled professionally and sensitively. Campbell Fry is named for helping one family organise each element of a farewell, and Sophie is thanked warmly for guiding relatives through arrangements with quiet efficiency and for making a mother's send-off special. Tom Masi receives kind words for his helpful and compassionate manner, while Jeff also earns recognition.

A point made in several accounts is the strength of communication, which families recall as seamless and unhurried from beginning to end. Reliability matters too, with one client returning whenever support is needed during difficult times. Gratitude is expressed for the respect shown to loved ones, for the tributes shared with families, and for the way staff eased the pain of loss while coordinating memorial services. Several accounts note how the team felt like angels during their darkest moments. The consistent thread is the kindness and professionalism of the people who carry out this work.
