I cannot recommend Lethborg Family Funerals highly enough. At just 27 years old, I was sitting in a hospital in Melbourne after receiving the worst news of my life. I had absolutely no idea what I was supposed to do next. In complete shock and heartbreak, we called Phil — and from that very first phone call, everything changed. In the most gentle, calm and professional way, he guided me step by step through the entire process. He gave me clarity when I couldn’t think straight and reassurance when I felt completely lost. Everything was seamless. From arranging to bring Mum from Victoria to Tasmania, to sourcing a very specific casket that matched her desired aesthetic, to embracing our very untraditional vision for her celebration of life — nothing was out of reach and nothing was ever “too hard.” Every request was met with compassion and a genuine willingness to make it happen. Phil and Erin went above and beyond every expectation. They somehow made the hardest day of my life feel manageable, beautiful, and deeply meaningful. Their care didn’t feel transactional — it felt personal. It felt like they truly cared about honouring Mum in the exact way she deserved. Even 2.5 years on, Erin still checks in. That level of ongoing care and humanity is something you simply don’t come across often. It is unmatched. I will be forever grateful to Phil and Erin for what they did for me and my family. They truly care about what they do, and it shows in every single detail. I couldn’t recommend them more highly.

The care, compassion, communication and how flexible they were while my mum was in their care has been incredible. The warmth and ease was welcoming and so reassuring knowing that nothing was a problem. My.mum pre-planned her funeral years before and this made this very emotional time easier as we could breathe and just be to process. Thank you to Margie and Tracey for what you gave without knowing. My mum was in wonderful hands.. I highly recommend this amazing service.
