What customers say

Based on genuine customer reviews

Beresfield is home to Newcastle Memorial Park, a cemetery and memorial estate that also functions as a crematorium and conducts funeral services. The groundsmen receive consistent praise for the standard of upkeep across the gardens and memorial areas, with the gardening described as phenomenal and the headstones beautifully finished. A recurring theme is the peaceful atmosphere, which several visitors value as a setting to sit quietly with loved ones.

Families mention the practical help given when arranging a service, and one account notes that a relative could be placed beside his mother and near his siblings at short notice. The arrangement of family plots comes up often, with more than one person expressing a wish to be interred or cremated in the same grounds. Visitors frequently remark on how well maintained the memorial park and crematorium are, and on the care taken with individual memorials. The site is also appreciated for the memorial walk and the general layout of the gardens, which many describe as beautiful and fitting for remembrance.

This is not a park in the usual sense. It's a crematorium and memorial gardens that does funeral services. Have several family members living there permanently now. Beautiful place.

Went to visit my stepdad for the first time & there's no signing or direction all there was is a map . I think honestly you need a better system for people to find there love ones labelling the wall & putting signs up to help navigate people to get around. We didn't end up finding my stepfather and I left in tears.

Very poor communication especially responding to emails. Told that once my uncle's plaque was back I'd be contacted & then again once placed. On both occasions had to contact them. Also kept referring to him as my dad even though I kept saying uncle. Would be nice to have people taking more care at what is already a difficult time. Also so hard to navigate around this place, needs more signage on memorial walls. Rang whilst there for help & was told they'd email me a copy of a map but never did. Also never got a photo of placement as promised either. Ended up finding it myself. Mosquitos so bad there too

I have been visiting here for many years as my parents and family members are here. It was always so colourful and pleasant. Now with the new rules my visits are getting more and more depressing. I find it colourless and morbid. I know that the silk flowers fade after time on some plots that don't have frequent visitors but at least there was colour and not just dead fresh flowers which stand out more than ever now the silk ones are no longer allowed. Please please change your rules and bring back the colour to our visits. I want to be happy to visit not sad and leaving swiftly because it's no longer pretty ☹️
