Requested if possible to have our much loved dog ready for pick-up, they said ok dated invoice 13/7/26 payment by 20/7 contacted as card failed payed cash directly to their account 21/7 as expected xena would be ready for pick-up to return western nsw, then received txt 2hrs later stating she can become a health hazard for staff as she is in their mortuary, read txt. After contact to explain payment recieved email to say she would be able for pick-up 24/7 arrived 27/7 at the office they tried and impressive sales pitch to my wife of thier wares and advised she wasn't ready, I showed email and was told to go have a coffee until they located her, after we left 5mins they called and said they had found her and to return for pick-up. Never again Pets R.I.P. Name incorrect, Appalling service, and to send a txt to a customer with that content unacceptable
Cannot recommend Pets RIP Toowoomba enough…. Especially Sonya!! Picked up our boy… Thanks so much for making this trip a tiny bit easier.
Worse one ever and I’ll be taking use to court this year. 4 weeks with no update no phone call no email on what’s going on.
We engaged Pets RIP in July 2025 to look after our Dog Alfie. We went with them in 2014 and the service was OK. Sadly our boy lost his Lymphoma battle on the 11 July and we had to put him down. Pets RIP came at short notice and took him away for cremation. It was late on a Friday and the certainly did the right thing by us. About two weeks later they presented his Urn, a card with print and paw impression all very decent. I cant be negative about their service it was as we expected... but.... there is room for improvement and I like to offer the following. The loss of a pet is a monumentally sad event for 99% of people, nonetheless for us. - I recommend that all the staff get some compassion training. They were not uncompassionate but appeared (in my opinion) too business like. There seemed to be a lack of empathy on the day. - I recommend that my request on the day be given some credence. I did enquire if it would be possible to get our Alfie in a vehicle that had no visible markings. I know there was not much that could have been done on the day but keep in mind for the future. I did not want every neighbour coming up to us asking about him in our time of grief. - There was no feedback for 2 weeks. I rang twice but no person form the business called to say things were progressing and they were taking good care of Alfie. - I called on Friday the 01 Aug and asked when he would be ready. They said he was ready yesterday 31 July. Inexcusable in my opinion. If he is right to collect let the owners know right away... if you anticipate he is ready let us know. - The cremation process is just not known or visible. I know it gets done but after the event how do we know, in our time of most grief, that what is presented to us is actually the remains of our beloved pet. A simple flyer or email details what is done, when where and how would be a good investment. - When the pet is collected or dropped off, send a card to the pet owners... there was no expression of condolence or a statement that we had "Alfie" and he was being treated with utmost respect and dignity (I'm sure he was, we just did not know that). To your credit the card we got at the end was very nice... an interim card with postage would be minimal cost and put us at ease. - Alfie was taken from our home in the Pets RIP van. Can I suggest a more appropriate carry out method. An ornate stretcher, box or gurney with some decorative, thoughtful, cloth / linen/ cotton cover for his remains, what was presented was just lacking dignity. I dont want to be seen as negative, your service was fine but like most things, improvement makes it better for the customer and the business. When you are at your lowest point the little things matter a lot.
My beloved Kira (feline) 18 years and 4 months was well taken care of. Picked up from the vets then transported to Toowoomba for single cremation and the creation of everlasting memories. Those memories that were created were totally beautiful in presentation. Just her.
Dropped by beloved fluffy the shitzu into pets rip with full confidence they could undertake the task at hand. However this is where the disappointments begin. That night I had a vision of fluffy scratching inside the box, as I am very spiritually gifted I immediately called pets rip and could not get through to them. The next morning I finally contacted them and they tried to inform me that fluffy had passed so they continued the undertaking. In the next hour I felt a deepening sadness as well as frequent visions. I collected fluffy although times have not been the same. I commonly find myself talking to fluffy even though he is not in the physical realm and he is disappointed in my action. Overall satisfactory service.
I don’t write reviews, good or bad, but in this case I will make an exception. I lost my beautiful Bichon (Millie) of nearly 13 years. She was sent to PETS RIP at Toowoomba, from my vet clinic for cremation but I found a beautiful urn that I loved at PETS IN PEACE also in Toowoomba. Where to begin with the staff at both these crematoriums, I don’t remember the names of the different people I spoke to over the course of making these arrangements, for this I apologise I was not myself, each different person I spoke to at both places was as wonderful, caring and empathetic as the one before .PETS IN PEACE organised engraving and delivery of the urn I chose to PETS RIP. My beautiful girl arrived home 2 days earlier than I thought. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff at these 2 crematoriums, and the care and consideration with which I was treated.Thank you so very much. Millie’s Mum. PETS RIP and PETS IN PEACE
