I have had amazing experience with remembrance funerals. They are so caring easy to work with Susie and her team. Everything was covered in the cost and no hidden fees. They just knew what I needed and it was all put into place quick and efficient. I have used them twice now and was very happy. Could highly recommend.
We would highly recommend Remembrance Funerals for their compassion and kindness to Sue and all of our family. Debbie for your initial advice and follow up phone calls along with Susie and John’s care and thoughtfulness on the day. You all made our pain a little bit easier on the day. Thank you Sue Heal
The most lovely team of professionals here. This was the first time we had to organise a funeral and were so lost going into it. They took our hands and guided us through everything and made it all so simple. The funeral went without a hiccup and the handling of everything even after was amazing. No hidden fee for this or that and they thought of all the little things that you may miss. Suzy, Debbie and team, we are so grateful for all of your help.
We cannot thank Remembrance Ladies & Susie enough for the care, compassion, and kindness they showed our family during the funeral of my young sister. From the very beginning, they were always available to answer questions, offer support, and guide us through one of the hardest times of our lives. Their professionalism was exceptional, but it was their genuine warmth and understanding that made such a difference. Having a women-only funeral service was incredibly important to our family, and they made us feel comfortable, respected, and cared for every step of the way. They took what felt like an impossible day and somehow made it manageable, allowing us to focus on honouring and remembering my sister. We will always be grateful for the love, dignity, and support they provided. Highly recommended to any family looking for compassionate and professional funeral care.
I wanted to wait a few weeks before writing this review so I could reflect properly on our experience. After speaking with a couple of funeral directors we chose Susie and her team. During our very first phone call Susie called me by the nickname my mother used for me and at the time it genuinely felt like a sign that we were in the right hands. Communication was responsive, questions were answered promptly and arrangements and payment were handled smoothly. Susie connected us with celebrant Terri who was truly exceptional. Terri was sincere, compassionate and took the time to genuinely listen to our family and understand what we wanted for Mum. She helped create a service that felt personal, respectful and meaningful. Unfortunately, the experience on the day of the funeral itself left us feeling disappointed and somewhat rushed. The service was scheduled for 10:30am, however Susie arrived maybe just 5 minutes beforehand and immediately began hurrying family and guests to sign attendance cards. Having observed other services beforehand, we had expected a calmer and more organised approach particularly given the emotional nature of the day. Prior to the service, when we delivered Mum’s clothing and personal items we also brought her home country’s flag which we wanted draped over the casket. We were advised to bring it on the day instead. In the overwhelm and grief of the morning, I unfortunately forgot. Halfway through the service, Susie collected it from my friend and placed it folded on the side of the casket rather than displaying it properly as intended. This was deeply upsetting for us as it held significant meaning especially to mum and the family on live stream. I also found it difficult that Susie repeatedly called me by my mother’s name throughout the day. I corrected her the first time when we met at the car however it continued to happen several more times afterward. While I understand mistakes happen, during such a sensitive moment it felt quite distressing and added to the feeling that the service was rushed and lacked the personal care we had hoped for. Mum wanted something small and simple and we honoured that. I just wish the day itself had felt more gentle, considered and supported for our family during one of the hardest moments of our lives.
We are incredibly grateful for Susies kindness and professionalism during such a difficult time. She handled every detail with care and respect, and guided us through the process with patience and undersranding. We felt supported every step of the way and beautiful honouring our beloved dad. Thank you to Susie, John and Debbie
Suzie and her team were amazing from start to finish! Their level of care and attention was second to none, and their delivery of my Dad's funeral on the day was perfect. I would not hesitate to recommend Remembrance Funerals. (Tony Berry)
