Lester & Son Funeral Directors Albury was founded in 1907 by local undertakers and cabinetmakers Joe Trappold and Harry Lester. The company has been part of the Albury-Wodonga community for over a century. A purpose-built funeral home opened in North Albury in 2002, followed by a second location in Wodonga in 2015. In 2018, it became part of the InvoCare group.
The team supports families in both New South Wales and Victoria, and its members are local residents who know the region well. Services include funeral and memorial services, viewings, burial and cremation, and receptions and gatherings.

Lester and Sons were very professional, caring and supportive when arranging the funeral for our mum. They guided us through the process, explaining things thoroughly but always considerate of our individual needs and requests. It made the planning and celebration of Mum’s life less stressful for us as a family. Thanks especially to Tony and Nikita.
We cannot thank Lester & Son enough for the kindness, compassion and professionalism they showed our family after losing Mum. From the very first meeting, they treated us with genuine warmth and care at a time when everything felt overwhelming. Even when our original funeral director was unexpectedly called away, the transition was seamless and every member of the team stepped in with empathy, calmness and incredible attention to detail. Nothing ever felt too hard and we always felt supported, listened to and cared for throughout the entire planning process. They helped us create a beautiful farewell for Mum with dignity, respect and such thoughtful guidance along the way. The family could not have been more impressed by the professionalism and support provided by Lester and Son. What an excellent facility for conducting a funeral. Plenty of room, off road parking and well laid out facility including online streaming of the service.
