We recently entrusted Ern Jensen funeral service with arranging my father’s farewell, and I cannot express how grateful our family is for the care and professionalism they showed throughout the entire process. From the very beginning, George and his team went above and beyond to support us during such a difficult time. Their compassion, attention to detail, and genuine kindness made an overwhelming situation feel much more manageable. Every aspect of the service was handled with dignity and respect, and it was clear that they truly care about the families they serve. George in particular stood out for his empathy and guidance. He took the time to listen, ensured all our wishes were honoured, and was always available to answer questions or offer reassurance. His staff were equally wonderful—kind, patient, and incredibly professional. The service itself was beautifully organised and a fitting tribute to my father’s life. Everything ran smoothly, allowing our family to focus on remembering and celebrating him rather than worrying about arrangements. I would highly recommend this team to anyone in need of a funeral services. Their dedication and compassion made a lasting impression on us, and we are deeply thankful for everything they did. We will never forget the care and kindness you showed us. 🤍🕊️

I hate leaving poor reviews, but I’m genuinely upset by my experience with Ern Jensen Funeral Directors. I organised a prepaid funeral for my dad through them. The arrangements themselves were okay, nothing exceptional but fine. The package included a video photo montage, and I chose to create this myself because I had something specific in mind. That should have saved them time and cost. What really changed everything for me was what happened next. I requested additional books and cards beyond what was included. When I received the quote, I was shocked. The printing costs felt wildly excessive, and there is nothing worse than feeling financially squeezed when you’re grieving and vulnerable. I emailed asking them to review the pricing. I never received a reply. The funeral itself went well. No issues on the day. But just over three weeks later, I followed up about the death certificate application so I could begin probate. That’s when I discovered they had not submitted it due to an outstanding balance. This was incredibly distressing. I wasn’t refusing to pay, I was waiting on a response to my request for a pricing review—an email they had ignored. Being effectively stalled on something so essential, without proactive communication or compassion, felt like being held to ransom. They eventually reviewed the invoice. I still believe the cost was too high, but I wanted to move forward. I asked the bank to transfer the funds. Unfortunately, the bank only transferred about two-thirds of the payment, which I didn’t realise at the time. Today—six weeks after the funeral—I received a call advising there was still a small outstanding amount. When I asked whether the death certificate paperwork had been submitted, the answer was no. The application was again held back over roughly $200. This is not just an administrative issue. It felt cold, punitive, and deeply lacking in empathy. Delaying a death certificate—and therefore delaying probate and other necessary steps—over a relatively small balance, without clear, timely communication, is a painful way to treat a grieving family. I expected better. I expected compassion. Instead, I was left feeling stressed, unheard, and financially pressured during one of the hardest periods of my life. I hope this feedback prompts a serious rethink of pricing transparency, communication standards, and—most importantly—how families are treated when they are at their most vulnerable.
We recently entrusted the care of my mum’s funeral to Ern Jensen Funerals, and I cannot express enough how grateful we are for their kindness, compassion, and professionalism during such a difficult time. From our very first conversation with George, he treated us with genuine warmth and understanding, making us feel supported every step of the way. He listened carefully to what we wanted for Mum, offered thoughtful guidance when we needed it, and handled every detail with such respect and dignity. Nothing was too much trouble, and the service he helped us create was truly beautiful — a perfect reflection of who Mum was. In a time filled with sadness, their gentle approach and steady presence brought us real comfort. We will always be thankful for the care they gave to both Mum and to us. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone needing a compassionate and trustworthy funeral director. Can’t thank you enough George and team 🙏🏼
Ern Jensen were incredibly helpful. They made things simple, worked quickly, and their service felt personal. Scott and Andrew kept us informed through the whole process and were able to give suggestions when we needed them to. I was very happy with the memorial service they organised.
Broken by the untimely departure of my wife, I was lucky enough to check out the services related to her funeral and, later, repatriation to my homeland with this company. With their professional approach, timely action and overall behavior, they made everything go smoothly and made the difficult period I was going through easier. I owe special gratitude to Michael, who made sure that everything took place within, and even before, the announced deadlines, as well as to Joy, who, by acting in a timely manner and informing about the progress of the procedure, also made everything go smoothly and without unnecessary delays.
