Compassionate, Professional Funeral Care in Rockhampton When It Matters Most I cannot thank Harts Family Funerals in Rockhampton enough. I reached out during one of the most heartbreaking and difficult times of my life, and from the very first phone call, Tony Hart and his team showed nothing but genuine compassion, professionalism, and care. Every single staff member was emotionally aware, patient, and incredibly understanding. Nothing felt awkward or rushed.... they created a calm and supportive environment when I needed it most. They guided me through the entire process step by step, making sure I understood everything and felt supported from beginning to end. What truly stood out was how they treated me as a person, not just another client. From the moment I made contact, it honestly felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. Harts Family Funerals go above and beyond in every way. Their kindness and genuine care make an unforgettable difference during such a painful time. I am beyond grateful and would highly recommend them to anyone in Rockhampton needing compassionate and professional funeral services.
If I could give less than 1 star, I would. I went to Harts Family Funerals in late July 2025 seeking cremation services for my father. Instead of a professional service, I was allegedly subjected to relentless and inappropriate comments and pressure from Tony Hart, the director, about “working for him.” His behaviour made me deeply uncomfortable at one of the most stressful times of my life. After my dad passed (30/07/25), Tony allegedly called me late at night, making offensive remarks, urging me to “start work,” and even suggesting my dad’s remains be a “learning opportunity.” When I declined, he continued with delays and unprofessional conduct. He promised cremation within 2 days, but it dragged into weeks, and I’m still being told to attend in person just to obtain paperwork. Highly unprofessional, unethical and distressing experience. In my opinion, this business is unsafe — I will not enter the premises alone I am using the legal term allegedly, to protect myself whilst I seek my own legal advice.
Tony and staff went over and beyond their duty to help us with my dads funeral services in Rockhampton and Mackay would recommend them to anyone thank you Tony and staff at Harts family funeral
If you are a women and want to be treated with respect DO NOT deal with Tony Hart. My husband and I went for a quote at Harts Family Funerals. We were there for almost 60 minutes. In all that time Tony Hart spoke to me two times. He made me feel like I was invisible. After leaving my husband felt embarrassed. Then he felt very angry. Angry at a man whose profession it is to be sensitive at a time of family loss could treat his wife the way she was treated - like a piece of the furniture. Of course we took our business somewhere else.
Hart's done the service for my aunty. They travelled to Gladstone and done an amazing job. Our family thought Hart's were amazing and the service was beautiful.. highly recommend Hart's Family Funerals
Harts Family Funerals, What a joke..... they claim to be a compassionate, practical and professional funeral home on there website, this however was not the case for my Aunty's funeral. Our family were told that family members who could not attend due to work, travel and Covid restrictions would be able to live stream the funeral service to them on the day. Fifteen minutes into the service we finally got audio vision to be met with no sound and the backs of people's heads. The sound issue was not rectified during the service so we missed hearing the eulogy, the recording was so bad we could not see the coffin or immediate family members. When it came to the pall bearers to take my Aunty's coffin out all we could see were the tops of their heads, this from men who all stand more then 6ft tall. The visual photo display of my aunty did not work on the day as the funeral home claim the USB they were given was corrupted (it was a brand new USB) after seeing their failed attempt at live streaming I now have my doubts as to whether this was the case. We sent a email to the funeral home to state our disappointment in their services and over 10 days later we are still yet to receive a response from Harts Family Funerals. Our family would not recommend this funeral home to anybody who wants their loved one buried with dignity as that is something Harts Family Funerals definitely do not offer.
