We are so grateful for the care and empathy shown our family when we organised the funeral of our dear Uncle in December 2025 and again with our dear Aunty in June 2026. Karli Eggins the Funeral Director was especially helpful and nothing was an issue for her to do to make those emotional times for our family run smoothly and with such a high degree of respect. Karli and her team on both occasions were professional and supportive for all of our requests and wishes. At a time in your life when you need a team to embrace you and do everything to make sure all goes well these are the wonderful people who go above and beyond to do just that. They are outstanding their field.

Arranging our dear mum’s funeral in her home town of Wauchope while living in Newcastle was a daunting and emotional task, but Karli made the distance completely manageable. Trying to coordinate such an important event from another city could have been incredibly stressful, but Karli looked after us every single step of the way. From our very first contact, her phone and email correspondence was incredibly prompt, clear, and reassuring. She truly went above and beyond her duties, guiding our family with exceptional kindness, deep empathy, professionalism and genuine understanding during such a painful time. No question was too small, and no request was too much trouble for her. Karli was incredibly helpful with every single detail, listening closely to what we wanted and ensuring our exact hopes for Mum's funeral were beautifully carried out. Her wonderful support took a massive weight off our shoulders when we needed it most, so we could just focus on saying goodbye to Mum. We are so incredibly grateful for everything she did for us and can’t recommend her and the team highly enough.

As a church minister, I've worked with a wide range of funeral services all over NSW. Gemma from Hastings was a clear and thoughtful communicator, she was proactive in making sure that everything was ready, and had tested things like the slideshow beforehand to ensure a smooth service. The funeral I was presiding over was seamless and allowed the grieving family to focus on what was important, rather than having to deal with details. Highly recommended!

Despite requests to keep us informed my mother was cremated without notification to her family. We were not planning to attend the cremation but had family assembled overseas to make their own significant events- prior to gathering for her memorial and spreading of the ashes. We were beyond devastated.

Had the pleasure of having Gemma as the funeral director for my grandmothers funeral. She was patient and understand a in our pre-funeral meetings. Gentle and supportive at the viewing.
