Not knowing anything about funeral directors in Cairns, we chose Simplicity Funerals purely by chance. But what a fortunate chance it was. We were met at the counter by Christine. She is a Kiwi like us and we made an immediate connection. Christine was pleasantly efficient throughout the process. She gently prompted us when needed and never missed a beat herself, ensuring all details were attended to on time for the day of the service which ran perfectly as planned. Christine is well experienced. She answered all our many questions, offered options and provided excellent advice on dealing with all aspects of the complicated process. We strongly recommend Simplicity Funerals and thank them, and especially Christine, for supporting us so well. We were in safe hands.

Liza and her team at Simplicity were dedicated and wonderful to work with. She was very professional, compassionate, understanding, accommodating, organised and respectful throughout the entire process. The facilities were first class and Dad had a beautiful service. I had the most wonderful experience with a funeral director here. I wish I remembered her name! My father passed away in July 2023, and she was the most kind and patient woman I’ve ever met, I still think about her to this day! 🩷

I recently had the most incredible experience with Christine, and I cannot speak highly enough of the care, support, and dedication she showed me. From the very beginning, she went above and beyond to assist me during a difficult time, even taking it upon herself to find information about my mum who had passed away after I had my vent about the horrible experience I was getting everywhere else. Christine was a breath of fresh air. She truly listened, empathized, and showed genuine compassion. She made sure every step of the process was explained clearly and handled respectfully. We had a viewing service, and it was absolutely beautiful—intimate, thoughtful, and everything I could have hoped for. Even adding their own little touches which I thought was really sweet Although there were other places with different pricing, it was Christine’s kindness that made all the difference and it just felt right. I’m so grateful for everything she did for us. Thank you, Christine for making such a difficult time so much easier and giving me an experience I will always be grateful for.
