Mt Thompson Memorial Gardens and Crematorium

4.2(80 reviews)·Brisbane

Mt Thompson Memorial Gardens and Crematorium in Holland Park operates two chapels and a crematorium, and reviewers describe staff helping both with funeral services and with locating an existing memorial on the grounds. One family was given a tour of available burial sites by staff member Jun Li, who found a location within walking distance for an elderly parent, and funeral director Martin Gomes is credited with arranging a Buddhist shrine for an ash interment ceremony. The gardens also include a columbarium for interring ashes.

We were very happy with the site we chose. The cost is reasonable. The sales representative was very good to work with.

My mum recently died a few months ago. Her funeral was held in the West Chapel, and her ashes were buried in the Mt Thompson gardens. Jun Li kindly gave my sister and I a long tour of the available burial sites, and we found the perfect one for our needs - one that my 93-year-old father can walk to from the car park. Jun was warm and understanding, which was very much appreciated given our grief. Along with Martin Gomes, the funeral director, she surprised us with a Buddhist shrine for the ash interment ceremony. It's these little personal touches that made the experience all the more heart-warming. The Mt Thompson site itself is beautiful, on a hill with city views. I feel a sense of serenity visiting my mum.

Thanks to Stephanie who went above and beyond to help me locate my beloved Nanna today. I'm sure she had more pressing matters but she helped me out over several emails and sent a photo. Very kind

Very sad been coming for 26 yrs and cleaning my mums plaque and all her neigbours. Today a lady with a tag hanging on her waist didnt introduce her self walked past us at her wall then turned back around and questioned what we were doing, and did I have permission to clean the plaque and other plaques and wall. NO soap and water is not invasive no lime stains on any of he apartment neighbours some have been gone from this world for over 60ys + or more and I visit with them as well. Told her I will keep cleaning. Upset my private time with my loved one. Have a nice day

First time visiting yesterday with my man we were looking for my great nan who had passed away many years ago, we went to the office and spoke to a lovely lady named Hope . She was so hopeful and another lady can’t remember her name but thank you so much. The grounds are beautiful.
