Every time they said I would be given a draft it never came when Peter said. I had to keep chasing them. The kind Rev at St Mark’s drove me to Walter Carter so they would have time to work on order of Schedule where we handed to Richard. There was still a spelling mistake in my father’s Christian name the night before the funeral. I rang at 10.30pm as my sister was not happy as it would appear on the video tape of service. Richard answered the phone and said you rung us 3 time during the week. I will you a discount and send Peter a message. They fixed the spelling mistake however video of service at times has two voices overlapping as they were meant to go and test sounding at St Mark’s day before which did not happen. We never received a discount and Richard was very smug when I rang to discuss. We shall never be using their service again.
From our first contact to collecting documents after the service the team at Walter Carter, particularly Peter and Cathy were outstanding. Nothing was too difficult, the service was beautiful, and was a fitting send off. We cannot thank you enough for your care and compassion throughout this difficult time.
We're so deeply grateful to Walter Carter Funerals for its management of Jaques Verberkt's funeral. Richard, thank you for all your recommendations and gentle, uplifting humour, which helped to add a little levity at such a difficult time. We especially appreciated your celebrant recommendation, and assistance with all of the elements of the service. It was a fitting celebration of a life well-lived and we could not be happier.
Walter Carter were great. Everything from the Funeral cards, the recommended celebrant to the flower arrangement was top notch and it really could not have gone better. Obviously it was a very stressful time and they guided me smoothly through the process of giving my mother a beautiful send off. They know what they are doing and I would definitely recommend them.
Peter and the team at Walter Carter Funerals did a stellar job organizing my mum’s funeral. Everything went very smoothly, the ceremony was beautiful and moving, the flowers were gorgeous and my mum would have loved it all. They handled every detail with great care and attention and it was such a relief to be able to rely on their professionalism and expertise combined with a personal, considerate and caring approach. I’m extremely grateful to Peter for making this process as easy as possible during such a difficult and stressful time. I felt supported every step of the way and I appreciated the team’s discrete presence at the church which let me focus on the most important thing, honouring my mum. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
I can not thank Richard and his team at Walter Carter Funerals enough for the exceptional care and support they provided in the lead up and following the passing of my dear Mum. From the very beginning, Richard was kind, compassionate, and incredibly professional. He guided us through every step of the process with such gentleness, (appropriate humour at times) and absolute respect, making a very difficult time a little more bearable. There was no request too big or too small - Richard and his team consistently went above and beyond to ensure everything was handled just the way we wanted. Their attention to detail and genuine care was evident in everything they did, both in the lead-up to the service and in the time since. It meant the world to our family to know that Mum was in such good hands. We are so grateful for the warmth and dedication shown to us, and I would not hesitate to recommend Richard and his team to anyone needing compassionate and professional support during such a difficult time.
Very professional. Everything was done well from the obituary notice in the SMH which stood out with the black border, the order of service was handled well even when we were late in replying, the minister was organised at late notice, piper organised, and on the day the Walter Carter staff looked very smart in black suits. Overall a very pleasant and compassionate experience.
