Check, double check, triple check EVERYTHING with euro funeral! Sadly my father passed away unexpectedly, we were told Maria could come to our house for discussions. Maria was lovely and extremely generous with her time, we felt a great connection with her, she was very warm and kind. . We had given a photo of our dad to be put in the Greek newspaper, when we were sent the final for approval we found the photo they had used wasn’t of our dad! We had to correct this. We decided to do the dressing, Nikki was absolutely amazing and it was a beautiful experience I highly recommend doing this, thank you Nikki for making this as special as it was. The day of the funeral, one of the cars was late to pick us up, we had been told my family and I could go into the church and they would lift the casket so we could see our dad one last time in private. Because the car was late they had let people into the church, We were told we could have that time to see and say goodbye at the end of the service. Well at the end of the service people had hung around in the church, when they opened the casket I had to say goodbye to my dad with people watching me, it wasn’t private at all! And what’s worse the final people to say goodbye to him were not even family members, the last person to say goodbye to him was able to place something inside his coffin Just before it was closed! At the cemetery, , there was a lot of commotion happening at my dad’s coffin which was still in the car. I went over to see what was happening. The plaque on my dad’s coffin was spelt incorrectly, and the cemetery wouldn’t allow us to burry him with incorrect spelling! Euro funeral is a Greek family parlour, my dad’s surname is Papadopoulos the most common Greek name to ever exist, yet somehow they left the U out and no one noticed! Something had to be done, it’s illegal to bury someone with incorrect spelling. They removed the plaque from my dad’s coffin, Anastasia? took it and jumped into a buggy and went off somewhere, everyone including the priest was waiting around a really long time. Anastasia arrives back and has a plaque, now this part still gives me nightmares, with my dad inside his coffin, guests waiting, my mum and sisters close by, they start to hammer his plaque onto his coffin BANG BANG BANG BANG I can still hear the sounds of the nails being hammered in. I was in shock. I went to check that the spelling was correct on the plaque, with tears in my eyes - It’s still wrong I said, the U is still missing! They pointed out that they had put a ^ and then the U above where it was meant to be. I couldn’t believe it, they explained this was the best they could do in order to be able to burry him. My dad was a very proper man, the fact he will be buried for eternity with his name spelt incorrectly on his coffin is appalling and he would have been mortified! As people started heading off to go to the wake I stood on my own looking at my dads grave, Anastasia came up to me and handed me two bags with the remaining memorial cards, and frames, she said something along the lines of sorry about the name thing that was an oversight on my part! I stood there silent and in shock, take care all the best she said as she walked off! We got into the car and it took us to the wake. Close to an hour had passed and we were waiting for the priest to arrive to bless the food. My sister sent an sms to the priest asking if he was coming to bless the food, the priest sms’ed back and said he had told euro funeral that because of the delay at the cemetery he wasn’t able to attend the wake and bless the food, we were not told this information at all! With the time waiting for the priest to arrive people started to leave or they ate and then left straight away. This is not the funeral my dad deserved. I still have nightmares about the nails being banged into his coffin in-front of us all, and every time I go visit his grave the memories of his funeral come flooding back and knowing that his plaque has his surname spelt wrong!

Our sincere appreciation for Spiro and his team for having such empathy towards us for my late beloved father. Words cannot describe how compassionate and understanding your whole team was towards us thru the whole process. A few months ago I spoke to Georgia as I could see dad was getting worse and your soothing words made me feel at the time so much better. Sylvia on the Monday after dads passing was understanding and compassionate to whatever questions I had. Sylvia made myself and my sisters so comfortable no matter how many times my sisters and I contacted her for the memorial cards as well whatever other questions we had. At dads viewing Helen was so patient and understanding in a respectful manner. She never rushed us or told us there was another viewing after us until the absolute end of the hour allocated to dad. Also the male driver (whom I haven’t his name) Helen,Anastasia and Spiro for your respectful, compassion and general sincere understanding you all showed in an orderly humane manner on the day of the funeral. It’s all appreciated by both myself and my whole family. ‘Whole team at Euro Funerals’ Thank You for who you were at and your empathy at our difficult time of Dads passing. Now our beloved mother passed away. Again I cannot thank enough Spiro his wife Georgia and the rest of the staff including Justin, hearse driver and our driver Georgio. A thank you also goes out to Sylvia for always been available for all our requests and making the whole process from initial contact as effortless as possible.

We recently held a service here for our loved one, and I cannot speak highly enough of the care, compassion, and professionalism shown by the entire team. From the very first moment, they guided us through everything with kindness and understanding during such a difficult time. Every detail was handled with dignity and respect, allowing us to focus on honouring and remembering our loved one rather than worrying about arrangements. The service itself was beautiful and thoughtfully organised. The staff were attentive, gentle, and truly went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. Their empathy and support made a heartbreaking experience just a little more bearable. We are deeply grateful for the respect and care they showed our family. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing funeral services. Maria, Jim, Justin and team we are truly grateful for everything. Soultados family Xxxxx

From our very first meeting, Sylvia and the team at Euro Funerals treated us and our Mum with such dignity, care, and respect. At a time when we were grieving and overwhelmed, they were calm, patient, and incredibly kind, guiding us through every step without ever making us feel rushed or pressured. Their professionalism and compassion took so much of the stress away, allowing us to focus on saying goodbye to our Mum and honouring her life in the way she deserved. We will always be grateful for the care they showed our family during one of the hardest moments of our lives, and we would not hesitate to recommend Euro Funerals to anyone needing gentle, thoughtful support. Caroline and the team at Euro Funeral services are to be commended on their professionalism and ability to accommodate our needs within a tight window, due to family travel constraints. This was our first time navigating this space and Caroline was super empathetic and easy to communicate with during this tough time. She managed to do the leg work and help organise a simple yet beautiful send off for my father-in-law. Even on the day, the team that transported him to and from the church were truly professional and genuine in their care for the family. The pricing was also very competitive and for what we received, we were very happy with the service. We hope that we don't need to call upon a funeral director in the not too distant future, but if we had to, Euro Funeral Services would be our first call.
