Cath and the team were amazing with helping with both my mums funeral nearly a year ago and my dads funeral 5 years ago. They are the most compassionate and caring team I have had the please of dealing with. They helped make a horrible situation easy and helped guide us along. 100% recommend this team.

Jason and Josh looked after us and the service of our 13 year old son. They were more than compassionate and caring. They held our hand every step of the way. They made a very hard ordeal manageable. Thank you Jason & Josh.

Bigger Funeral Companies Are Not the Best I initially started by going to a much larger funeral company in Canberra. However, it quickly became evident that their service left a lot to be desired. So...I decided to try a smaller family business, namely MHO'Rourke. The difference was immediately apparent. I met Cath and her whole approach was caring and considerate. At the first meeting she asked a lot of helpful questions. She was obviously a compassionate person that I could trust. (By contrast, the other company was more about getting the contractual documents signed, with little interest in what I actually required.) After our first meeting Cath was regularly in contact and made the process as straightforward as possible. One important difference between MHO'Rourke and the other company that I dealt with, was that Cath was present on the day of the funeral. The first company I had dealings with, operate on the basis that you make the arrangements with one person and then have a different person organise things on the day. MHO'Rourke does not do this and it was one of the major reasons I would strongly recommend them over its larger competitors (which appear to operate in a way that maximises profit rather than service). And in case you are wondering, the pricing of the two companies was much the same.

Couldn’t have asked for better care and love with my Mum. Was the best a goodbye could be. Jason and the team were so empathetic and also extremely professional. Thank you all so much.
