What customers say

Based on genuine customer reviews

Mudgee families have long turned to Macquarie Valley Funerals and Monuments for farewells that feel genuinely personal. Sharon, Damien, Emily and Laura are named often for the calm, gentle manner in which they guide people through arrangements, whether a death was sudden or expected. Several accounts describe ceremonies shaped around the individual, including service booklets and photo displays that captured a loved one's character. Practical coordination across distances is another point that comes up often, with a funeral held at Dunedoo and a burial at Mudgee arranged for a mother who had died in Sydney.

The team's readiness to honour particular wishes stands out, from a service that matched what family members had discussed to a grave ledger remade when the first version did not suit, a response one family found remarkable. Communication before and after the funeral is described as supportive, with questions answered and reassurance offered throughout the process. Gratitude is expressed for the respect shown to both the deceased and the bereaved, and for staff who became part of each family's story at a difficult time.

I lost my dad suddenly last year and I had no clue what to do or where to start. Sharon and the team helped me so much. They guided me and supported me no matter what. I honestly could not have found a better place to celebrate my dad’s life. So so grateful to have these guys in my corner. Thankyou.

We entrusted Macquarie Valley Funerals with the celebration of life for my darling sister, and they delivered something more beautiful than we could have imagined. Every detail was exactly as we’d hoped...personal, heartfelt, and distinctively her. The entire team was incredibly considerate and compassionate, offering support that went above and beyond. They truly became part of Melissa’s story, and for that, they’ll always hold a special place in our hearts. A special thank you to Kali, their extraordinary celebrant, whose warmth and deep connection brought Melissa’s vibrant spirit to life. The service she prepared and delivered in the Hill End church was thoughtful, joyful, and so beautifully reflective of our bright and bubbly girl. We are forever grateful to Macquarie Valley Funerals for giving us the perfect farewell and a lasting memory of love, light, and honour.

We recently lost our mother who passed away in Sydney and wanted to be buried st Mudgee with her parents but wanted the service to be in Sydney. The team at Macquarie Valley Funerals were all amazing and offered great support particularly Damien and Sharon. I am sure I speak for my sister and say we will be forever grateful for the support you gave us at a difficult period whilst also assisting us to give mum her wishes. The ability for you and the team to organise the complexities of getting mum to Mudgee and then return to Sydney for the service before returning her to Mudgee for the burial without any hiccup was a relief. I would thoroughly recommend the team at Macquarie Valley Funerals to anyone who loses a loved one from our experience with mum, they have over delivered on my expectations and impressed me with their genuine care and support. Thankyou team and in particular Damien and Sharon

I would like to sincerely thank Sharon, Damien and Emily for their support during an extremely sad time. They made the difficult process seamless from my end. They took the stress out of it for me and produced a beautiful service booklet, photo display and service. Sharon conducted the service for my niece with respect and compassion. We could not have asked for more. Thankyou Macquarie Valley Funerals Mudgee from us all.
