Mackay Monumental Masons

Mackay Monumental Masons was established in 1999 and began as a small family-run business providing memorial services to the local community. Its services include new headstones, memorial designs, restorations and inscriptions.

The company is directed by David Bullock, a qualified stonemason with more than 25 years in the business, supported by office administrator Pauline Blaikie, who has 10 years of industry experience.

Monumental masonry, headstone creation and plaque repair are the services that come through most clearly in feedback on this Mackay business. Customers consistently describe the finished work as beautiful and perfectly executed, with an emphasis on careful attention to detail. Several mention that staff double-check requirements with clients before proceeding, and that the final result matches or exceeds what was requested. Michelle is singled out by name for being particularly easy and pleasant to deal with. Another recurring theme is the friendly, helpful nature of the family-run operation, with reviewers noting the genuine understanding shown to people dealing with loss.

Workmanship quality, efficiency and fair pricing are mentioned repeatedly, alongside the skill brought to tasks such as lettering and structural repairs. Delays caused by weather, illness and supply issues are acknowledged by customers, who note that the end product justifies the wait. Some reviews span long periods, with one family returning after more than eight years to add an inscription to an existing memorial. The business is also described as handling engraving, granite and laser cutting work. Customers frequently note that queries are answered promptly and that staff take time to explain options without pressure.
